How it works

Make payments directly from your bank account

1. Connect Account: Link your bank account(s) with Duplo.
2. Choose Signatory Type: Select your preferred signatory type- single (only one user is required to approve direct debit mandate) or multiple (two or more authorized users must jointly approve the mandate).
3. Verify: We will submit your mandate to NIBBS for approval. This usually takes between 48-72 hours.
4. Approve and Pay: Once all is in order, approve your expenses and make payments directly from your linked account(s).

• How is direct debit different from the wallet funding method?
  With the wallet method, you must first move funds into your Spend wallet before making payments. With direct debit, funds are pulled directly from your bank account when a transaction is initiated — no pre-funding required.
• Which banks do you support?
  We currently support Direct Debit with UBA, GTBank, and Access Bank. We are continually expanding our list of integrated banks.
• Is direct debit safe and secure?
  Yes. All direct debit transactions are processed through secure, encrypted channels and comply with regulatory standards and bank authorization protocols.
• Are there any limits on direct debit payments?
  No, the limit is set by your bank. This limit applies to all customers using direct debit.
• Can I cancel or stop a direct debit transaction?
  You can cancel a scheduled direct debit before it is processed. However, once a debit has been authorized and processed, it cannot be reversed unless there is a failed or disputed transaction.
• Can I switch between wallet and direct debit at any time?
  Yes. You can choose your preferred payment method at the point of transaction- wallet or direct debit- depending on what suits your needs at the time.
• Can I set up more than one direct debit account?
  Yes. You can add and activate multiple business bank accounts for Direct Debit. When you are making your transaction, simply select your preferred account.
